Although I like the products that Lowe’s carries, I haven’t had good customer service in a long time. My last experience is what finally caused me to write this review. I used their buy online pick up in store service. All of the items I ordered were right but when I was checking out, the cashier kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain that information I was giving her might be wrong because my husband made the order. She cut me off mid sentence four times. On top of that another cashier came over and started talking to her mid transaction which caused her to stop focusing on what she was helping me with. They were talking about their frustrations with another employee. Which was completely inappropriate. I finally raised my voice to get their attention and explained to her that the information she was asking was something I was unclear on and I might have to give her a few different options. After she could see that I was upset she started to be a little bit nicer.
On top of that there has been a few times I have gone to the store looking for an item, when I ask for help they have told me ‘we don’t carry that’ and they walk off. I continue to look and find the item they say they don’t have.
Lowe's has a good selection, although I often end up at Home Depot because Lowe's didn't have it, or vice-versa. Customer service is good, employee knowledge is hit-or-miss. Organization is often confusing, like plumbing separated from bathroom, hardware all over the store, things like that. Also it's nice that Home Depot emails you a receipt, Lowe's should do that.
These 5 stars go to Yvonne at customer service. She was quick on her feet. Great at multi tasking and very sweet! I would only give the store 3 stars! Because this is the second time that I have came to customer service and these girls are under staffed. They are extremely busy! They need more employees helping at customer service desk. Thank you Yvonne for your help.
Kid in the painting area is more interested with his phone then acknowledging customers. I was 2 sec. away from calling for a mgr.
Their tools say lifetime hassle free warranty but when you return them they are only 3 month, you need your credit card, driver license and receipt.
