Saturday night was the first time dining at Archibald's. I knew from talking to friends that it was going to be extremely busy. But I still wanted to brave the crowd's to experience the witch's night. We arrived and put our name on the list. We were told that we could wait in the lobby or go walk around and we would receive a text when our table was ready. Or the third option was to be seated in the bar area immediately. I was with my sister and a few friends, we decided to try the bar. We were greeted by our server Sherry in less than a minute. From the very beginning she was funny and knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant it self. We did have to wait a little while for our meal (about 45 minutes) but based on our servers recommendations it was well worth the wait. The meal was good the atmosphere beautiful...but what really made our evening a night to remember was the service! It has been a long time since I have felt like I was sitting in an old friends kitchen. Even though Sherry and the other server were incredibly busy we never felt like we waited to long for anything. So I can highly recommend Archibalds the food is true comfort food. We got the fried green tomatoes I had the pot roast and we ended the meal with white chocolate bread pudding. But the service we received was truly what made our night extraordinary!

Fast forward to today, they now only serve prime rib on weekends and the price has jumped to a whopping 28.99 for a 14 oz prime rib dinner.

My wife and I visited Gardner Village recently and were very pleased with the whole experience. It was really nice to walk the grounds, visit the shops and all in all simply enjoy the ambiance. We stopped in at Archibald's, waited 10 minutes and was seated. The restaurant was very comfortable and clean. The staff were all very friendly and prompt. We ordered our appetizer and entree's at the same time which may have been a mistake. Like all decent restaurant's should they allowed an appropriate amount of time for us to enjoy our appetizer before serving out entree plates but once they arrived both of our plates had cold food on them. I ordered the prime rib with vegetables and baked potato and my wife had the steak and breaded shrimp, the baked potato's were both warm but all other items were cold. This would have been a 5 star experience if it weren't for this. We will no doubt return and eat at Archibald's again but will more than likely stick with soups, salads, burgers, etc.

On our last visit a couple months ago we noticed an increase in the price of the prime rib dinner but thought it was still reasonable.

Unfortunately Archibald's has lost two loyal customers and any future recommendations from us. There are simply too many other quality restaurants to choose from with reasonable prices.

We have been customers of this restaurant for many years as this was our favorite place for prime rib. We have always recommended this restaurant to our friends and family and even arranged to have our company party in their banquet room in the basement a couple years ago.

We were greeted and seated. We didn't have to wait very long, basically got right in. The atmosphere and decorations are fun to look at. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The overall service during our meal was great. My meal was well prepared and tasty. The price was high, but between the meal and the atmosphere it was worth it.

I had booked one of the witch night cooking classes it was the only night I can do it and then last minute my work change the schedule on me due to a conflict with another actor and so I was unable to go and I emailed and they refused to refund. Their response was sell it on KSL that's it. Flat out refused. I cannot go to establishment who does not value customer service so I am out $50 and because of my schedule and travel schedule for there wasn't any other night I could've done it which is a bummer because Lucinda the witch is pretty amazing. Sadly, because of this lack of care towards customers, I won't be coming back. Lost this customer. I hope it was worth it because I truly was excited to go. And for the record I tried to recoup the $50 by posting all the local for sale websites with no luck. So I'm out the money and they are out a customer. For the 1st time in many years, I won't be taking my kids to any October events.
