I only gave one star for the fact that I actually did use a rental car and it ran, but the service was horrible. Don't trust them. I had to give a deposit which was understandable and I agreed to, but then they held $300 from my checking account when I only agreed to a $50 hold. That took about a week to release. 2 days after I returned the car they took almost $100 from my checking account when the insurance of the responsible party had already paid the bill. I was supposed to pay nothing. It has been 2 and a half months of fighting and I still don't have my money back. I will never use Hertz again. And NEVER pay with a debit card.
I had an appointment to pick up a rental because my car was being repaired next door. They were not even there! Left a note saying by appointment only, which I had. There was a number to call and nobody answered. Never heard from them either.
They charged me for nine days when I had the rental for four days, creating a $120 discrepancy. After calling, I was told I would get the money back in a week. No reimbursement yet. I called to check the status and to ensure the reimbursement was going to be correct...the man told me that the manager was gone and he couldn't help. SOL and $120 short during the holidays. THANKS FOR NOTHING.
