The last two times I had been in the market for shoes I have gone to Ossine Shoes. The first time my experience wasn't anything to write home about either side of the isle. I got in the store was helped out, did the walk, made my purchase and went home. The second time on the other hand took place 10/24/17 at about 6pm. There were only two employees in the store at this time. I didn't get either of their names and I am sorry that I didn't. The girl that helped me was trying to help me and another two people that came in together at the same time. When she got to me, which didn't take long at all, she got me a pair of shoes that were inexpensive and we're my choice. I then asked her about a warm pair of shoes and she took me, didn't point to, the section of warmer shoes. I asked her I want the least expensive of the selection and she told me about the brand Keen. This girl couldn't have been more than 14 years old and that is probably older than she is. This girl knew more about shoes than I could even possibly imagine anyone knowing. She guided me through the tech of the shoe and she informed me that I would like the Keen brand the best because of the price and in her opinion was the better shoe. I am wearing them today and couldn't be happier. Not every store is going to be perect but this girl I hope one day owns this store because she knew her stuff. I hope whomever taught her about shoes is also passing along their knowledge to other employees. Now on to the man behind the counter. He was very personable and we chatted for a minute. He was very nice and professional. I little word of constructive criticism would be that if there is only one employee working the floor and two customers or more comes in I do feel the person behind the counter should come out and help. I'm sure it is policy to have someone behind the counter at all times but coming from the customer service background it looks bad when someone is behind the counter with the appearance of not doing anything and there are customer(s) not being helped. I only shop at Ossine Shoes now and I will return specially with the expertise that the girl showed. That adds value to the product that you sell and she is good for business and customer satisfaction. Great job Ossine Shoes.
Ossine's has been around for many years. Friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of shoes, from dress shoes to basketball shoes and everything in between.
The staff is so nice and very knowledgeable. My family has been buy shoes from here for years! They always have amazing deals and if they don't have your size or color in they have no issues special ordering them for you. Highly recommend this store and it's just a plus that it's locally owned.
This is the best place I have found to find work boots. They also have excellent customer service.
My husband has been shopping here for 25 years, and introduced me to buying better quality than a grocery store shoe. Nice people, and knowledgeable too.
