Tonight was by far the worst experience I have yet to have at any grocery store. I had a large cart of groceries. I pulled my reusable bags that I have already paid for out of the bottom of the cart, I one reusable bag, with 7 reusable bags stuffed inside. I got to the register, and I handed the checker the collection of bags. He looked at me and asked me if I paid for the reusable bags. I was caught off guard, but I responded with yes. He pulled a bag out of my collection and it happened to have a tag still on it. He asked again if I was sure that I bought my reusable bags. I repeated again that I had paid for the bags. He then responded with, "We ALWAYS take the tags off when we sell them." I asked if he was insinuating that I stole the bags. He said no. I asked why he continued to ask. He said because if you paid for them you wouldn't have the tags on the bags because we always remove them. I told him they were in fact paid for, and I don't inspect the bags to ensure the tags are removed.
As we were having this conversation, I ended up bagging 90% my $175 dollar order. When I come to Harmon's I am paying premium price. When I pay premium price I expect premium service. That was not the case tonight. I was harassed over 3 $0.75 bags. I easily spend $1,000 per month between groceries and gas at that store.... I won't be going back.
Harmons is a great store and I like this location. However, this bakery department is probably the worst bakery of any Harmons in the state. I've been disappointed by this bakery department too many times to count. You're better off going to another store if you need anything from the bakery.
Too expensive. You're better off going to fresh market plus it's less crowded. The checkstands take forever even when you're next in line
I absolutely love this Harmons. Every time I come here it's clean and very organized. The staff is helpful and always smiling. I stopped going to Walmart because this Harmons has fresh vegetables and meat. Also the cashier's are so sweet and never make me feel rushed when I go get my WIC here. Unlike Walmart that always has an issue and can't ever get anything done right. The cashier's are always paying attention if they see you waiting in line they will call you over so you don't have to wait. I love it. Keep up the great work!
Harmons has been a great place to work. When striving to get in to new positions - you really have to prove you can be the best you can be in every way. Harmons gives you the opportunity to go beyond yourself to be better than you are. I love that about Harmons, and I've never worked anywhere else that pushes you to be even better than average.
